Canoe

The canoe is a simple, silent craft, an ancient form of travel that gets one closer to nature, spirit-lifting solitude, peace, freedom and one’s soul. It is a superb way to enjoy the wilderness without disrupting its natural beauty and harmony. Mother Nature gives it her gold seal of approval.

Klondike River Canoe Trip

On a Klondike River Trip, you will have the personal independence to penetrate the other wise inaccessible wilderness with little more than a canoe and a paddle. You will happily meander one of Mother Nature’s quiet blue arteries, taking time to reflect, experience silence and enjoy the scenic wonders of the Yukon’s vast wilderness and its creatures, undisturbed in their native habitat.

The adventure begins just off the Klondike Highway at Rock Creek. As you paddle along the clear sparkling water of the Klondike, you will travel with refreshing pine forests, rugged rock cliffs and welcoming sand bars as your constant companions. A picnic lunch will be served along the way and there will be opportunities to cast a fishing line. After connecting with the Yukon River, your trip ends in Dawson City. The duration of the canoe trip is approximately 5 hours on the water.
The Klondike River is a class one river with a few class two areas. The current is fairly swift so I recommend that canoeists be good swimmers. Water levels in June may at times be too high for safe canoeing.

Price: $390.00 for two people.
